On Jan. 1, a woman was attacked and fatally injured by a mountain lion on the Crosier Mountain Trail south of Glen Haven; Colorado Parks and Wildlife stress that such attacks are rare and advise hikers to make noise and carry bear spray to deter close-range encounters.
