The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission unanimously named Maj.
Gen. Laura Clellan as the permanent director effective immediately. She has led as acting director since Dec. 1, 2025, with experience from roles at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service & Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.

Local sports fans are invited to vote for Blue FCU’s Girls Athlete of the Week, with nominees from local high schools including Liberty Common wrestling and Fossil Ridge swimming (others represent Poudre, Windsor and HCA basketball).
Voting ends at 11:59 a.m. on Feb. 26.
