A semi crashed into a bridge in the I-25 construction zone on Thursday morning, shutting down both lanes until about 3 p.m. and triggering reports that the lane expansion project from Dacono through Fort Collins — with work south of Loveland still pending — will continue for three more years.
Loveland police are asking for help finding 17-year-old Melody Burns — also known as Forrest, Max and Sparrow — who was last seen in Fort Collins in October, leaving without a cell phone, money or identification.
Officers said they have submitted her DNA to national databases as they follow further leads.
American Hockey League announcer Brandon Astle was hit by a chair—reportedly thrown by a fan during a playoff game at Blue Arena in Loveland on May 29 at 5:50 p.m., and the Colorado Eagles lost 5-0 to the Abbotsford Canucks in the Calder Cup series.
Low water levels in Lake Loveland have left backyards dry and stopped boaters like the Warners from enjoying the lake—Colorado Parks and Wildlife reported about 500 dead fish that officials say were caused by these low levels.
Water resources experts explained that rapid snowmelt and irrigation needs will make the water drop further this spring.
