A 74-year-old man died after his 2020 Toyota Highlander did not yield while turning left and was hit by a 2022 Freightliner M-Line van at 1:12 p.m. on May 30 at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Colorado 60 in south Loveland—neither alcohol nor speed were factors in the crash—and the van driver was unharmed.

On May 23, Colorado Parks and Wildlife captured the 48th bald eagle as part of a study of how eagles nest in developed areas in Windsor—researchers attached a lightweight, solar-powered GPS transmitter to track the bird's movements.

The study shows that eagles continue to thrive close to homes while using local resources like irrigation canals and small animal populations.
