Loveland City Council member Erin Black resigned effective noon July 15 after months of scrutiny stemming from a park altercation + disputed interactions with the police chief.
Her resignation stops a citizen recall effort and follows her citing a toxic political environment as making it impossible to serve effectively.
A funding freeze that began in January has put Colorado’s Child Care Assistance Program at risk, leaving providers and vulnerable families scrambling for support & alternative resources.
Local officials warn that if the freeze continues, many families will face challenges in securing reliable child care.
