This November, registered Loveland voters will see a new $99M bond measure on the ballots for the Thompson School District to upgrade aging school facilities without raising taxes — district officials say the funding will be used for repairs, ADA improvements, and safety measures based on each school’s needs.
Fort Collins and Larimer County purchased a 675-acre Buckhorn addition to Bobcat Ridge Natural Area to stop a planned housing development and add to its 20-mile trail system.
A 1.75-mile family-friendly trail—Elk Meadow Trail—will open on Oct 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with guided hikes and kid activities.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is talking with Alaska officials about capturing 10 to 15 wolves for release in Colorado this winter—officials say the plan is a backup since trade issues may limit wolves from Canada.
The talks started after a meeting in Tucson and capturing wolves in the Tok area may cost more because it is far away.
